It's a...

Last week, we went for our 20 week ultrasound and got the amazing news that our little sweet pea is a SHE. We couldn't be more thrilled :) Break out the pink dresses, tutus, leopard print onesies and baby Uggs!

Just kidding.

Sort of :)

This ultrasound was truly amazing. She looks like a real little baby now with tiny feet and toes (though that won't last since Mom and Dad both have monstrously huge feet), arms, fingers, organs and more. She didn't stop moving around throughout the entire appointment, making it a challenge for the tech to get the right photos. I wasn't surprised in the least since I call her my little wiggler...I feel her moving around all day long! And I love every single second of it. She especially likes moving around first thing in the morning when I'm lying in bed...It's like our own special time and I absolutely cherish these moments.

I'm happy to report that despite the excitement over finding out that Baby H is a girl, we were relieved to also find that she looks healthy with everything the right size, in the right place, and no tails or horns going on. Whew! I always get a little worked up going into the ultrasound because you just never know what will happen.

Now that we know she is officially a girl, I feel like I can picture her little personality already. Always on the move, doing whatever she wants in there, not willing to pose for's so exciting to think of the person she'll be when she arrives in January.

Our ultrasound appointment was scheduled on September 11. Though typically a day of sad memories, this September 11 brought a wonderful ray of sunshine for Shaun and me, and we were (and still are!) filled with complete and utter joy. We took a moment after our appointment to take a peek at the World Trade Center lights lit up in honor of that fateful day.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words and excitement for us thus far. We are so thankful and feeling simply blessed. I can't wait to continue on this journey and see where it takes us over the months to come!

In the meantime, I'll be picking out pink, purple and blue everything...
