Welcome to November! Yesterday was an epically horrible, no good, very bad day in New York sports. Penelope was totally thrown off her schedule from 48 hours of candy eating plus daylight savings. Oh and speaking of daylight savings, I felt tired all day Sunday and somehow couldn't fall asleep last night and then tossed and turned until 5:30 this morning when I felt awake and ready to go! So, November is off to an interesting start, but I'm ready to tackle it head on.
One of my favorite months of the year, I love so many things about November. The weather is my ideal condition. The leaves are absolutely stunning. There's so much excitement buzzing for the impending holidays and end of year. And it's a month that shifts my focus to things I'm thankful for. In years past, I've kept a journal, detailing one thing daily that brightens my life, big or small. I've found that focusing for a moment each day to recognize those things that affect my life for the better, in turn, make me a better, happier person.
So this month I'm doing a 30 days of thanks challenge. I plan to keep a daily journal that I'll share with you at the end of the month, though I plan to document as much as I can on instagram, so come along and follow me there. Also, if you'd also like to participate, please hashtag your pics and posts with #30daysofthanks and at the end of the month I'll repost some of my favorites. Ideally, this would last for all the days of the year, but one month at a time, right?
I hope you'll join me!
What are the little things brightening your day today? Have you ever done a thankful challenge in November? Though daylight savings left me with little sleep, I totally embraced my 5:30 wake up!
