I don't really have a direction for this post, other than I wanted to drop in with some thanksgiving things. It feels silly to blog about anything else when we all know that turkey day is on the brain!
What are your thanksgiving plans? We are having brunch with Shaun's family and then dinner with mine at my aunt's house. We always have an insane amount of food and it really is one of my favorite meals of the year. I don't understand people who aren't 'into' thanksgiving food. It's carby, and gravy-covered and ends with lots of dessert, right in the piehole. What could be bad about that?
speaking of food, what is your favorite thanksgiving food? I think mine has to be the stuffing covered in gravy. though I love mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes to the moon and back, stuffing is really only a once a year thing and i can't wait to eat a giant plate of it on thursday!
I also love the Macy's parade. I just have such fond memories of watching it as a kid on Thanksgiving morning, while my mom finished making her famous apple pies, running back and forth from the kitchen to the living room. It was always such a festive start to a fantastic day. One year, Lindsey and I went to see the float inflation at Central Park on the day before Thanksgiving. Also one of my favorite memories.
And lastly, one of my favorite thanksgiving traditions is our long ride home, when shaun finally lets me get the christmas music started! it's happening people!
And of course, I'm still working on my 30 days of thanks...are you?!
i hope you are all ready for a fantastic holiday ahead! now, tell me all of your thanksgiving things!
