Hi peeps and happy Friday! I know I've been so MIA lately, but I'm just having a hard time slogging through the day to day, TBH. By the time the evening rolls around, I'm just totally tapped out and can hardly make it past 8:30PM. Somehow the second time around pregnancy has not left me full of energy in the second trimester...and on that note, today I'm officially in the third trimester, which I can hardly believe. It's true what they say, the second kid already has the shaft in that I've done zero updates or writing about this one. My plan is to do one for next week though, along with an old fashioned banana cake that Penelope and I made a few weeks ago!
What's going on with you lately? We got snow this week you guys. SNOW. Like a foot of it. I'm all for a good snow day, but at 7 months pregnant, I'm kind of over strapping on my Bean boots and a heavy coat that no longer closes, only to trudge through unshoveled and unsalted sidewalks and intersections marked with black ice. Please tell me spring will be here soon. I need warm air, looser clothing and walks around the neighborhood to help me get some of this excess winter weigh off of my body.
Also, can we talk about Spring Forward? This article about one hour is everything. It's really my most disliked week, however, it hasn't seemed to effect Penelope very much which has been a bonus.
Aside from all that, I do love the month of March. We have like a million birthdays in our family this month, which means lots of celebrating and cake eating. Tomorrow we are celebrating my mom's birthday with going to see Beauty and the Beast and a big family dinner. On Sunday, we are seeing friends and making corned beef. Overall, a weekend I simply can't wait for.
Is anyone listening to Missing Richard Simmons? It is just so so good. It never occurred to me what an icon he is, but his life is so fascinating. I can't believe there's only one episode left!
I hope you have a great weekend, and here are some links to keep you going today!
